Everyone is looking to save a buck and get a cheap skateboard ramp. On other hand, you don't want to get a cheap quality ramp. So what's the problem when you buy a cheap ramp?
Is it possible to find a ramp that is extremely low in cost while also being high in quality? We've been asked several times if you can buy a cheap halfpipe for $100. That's like asking a Lexus dealership if they have new model car for a few hundred bucks! Like the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
The life of a cheap ramp will not last that long at all- and you'll generally need to buy a new one anyways. Many parents think that they'll 'start' their kids off with a cheap ramp, then buy a nice one later down the road. This logic normally doesn't work simply because the cheap ramp won't last and the parents end up having to buy more than one skate ramp anyways.

Our OC RAMPS Team has several riders that compete (and win) in the Dew Tour, Tampa Pro, Maloof Money Cup, X-Games and Street League. Starting this week with Street League Brazil, we have 3 of our team riders competing for a spot.
Street League was conceived by Rob Dyrdek and includes 24 of the world's best skateboarders in competition for some huge money. Not everyone can skate in the Street League contest. Like many core skate competitions, this is an "invite only" contest...and Rob doesn't invite just anyone! Dyrdek has invited these 3 riders from our team; Ryan Decenzo, Greg Lutzka and Manny Santiago.

We always have the pleasure of building skate ramps in some of the most incredible places. Take Malibu beach for example. Gorgeous coast lines, waves and restaurants. Malibu is one of our favorite cities to build a ramp. We've sold several ramps to LMFAO's singer Sky in Los Angeles. He called us up and wanted to get a new 12' wide mini ramp for his house on the cliffs of Malibu. We happily accepted the work! Take a look at some of these photos of this immaculate ramp along the coast.
Photo below shows the initial installation of the foundation and frame. With the property lot being at an incline, we had to ensure the halfpipe sat level. You can do this by either digging a flat/level surface, and/or you can add bricks to lift up the low corners.

The Garage Mini Ramp is one of our most popular skate ramps. It sits just over 2' tall, 8' wide and 16' long. Since more garages are 19' in length, this wooden skateboard ramp will fit in your garage just perfect.
The ramp is also designed to be outdoors. So, if you don't have room in your basement or garage, feel free to set this ramp up in the side or backyard.

Steven Reeves is a phenomenal skater out of Portland, Oregon. We're happy to announce that Steven is now part of the OC RAMPS Pro Skate Team. Reeves will be part of the OC Regional Team. You can see more info on the Steven Reeves BIO page.

This is a quick video that shows Steven skating on our custom skate ramp that we built in San Diego. The ramp sits 5' tall with a 7' tall extension and is 20' wide.

Dave Bachinsky is arguably the world's best mini ramp skater. We are incredibly fortunate to have Dave as part of our pro skate team. Dave approached us with the idea of creating a whole video part based on him doing 26 tricks that have never been done before on our halfpipes. Thats right, he wants to do tricks that have never been performed, filmed or seen in a contest by any other skateboarder in the world. The video is being filmed right now and will be released late this summer of 2013. Our video premier will be by invite only. Keep posted and we'll let you know more details about the Bachinksy project now called, the Formula.
Dave wanted a place to skate 24/7. We decided to give Dave his own warehouse and halfpipe. With his own key, he can come skate and film any day, any night. We called the team in and had everyone pitch a hand in building the ramp. With our whole crew, we were able to build the skateboard ramp kit in literally under 4.5 hrs. Where else can you get a 16' wide mini ramp built in that quick of time!?!

Haven't you always wanted an indoor skate park in your very own house? These particular clients did just that. Not only did they have the perfect living room to place the ramps, but they have the perfect property location. This specific home is located in Laguna Beach/Dana Point on the famous surf beach, Salt Creek. You can skate the mini ramp, butter bench and quarterpipe, then grab your surfboard and paddle out to catch some sick barrels. What a perfect scenario, right?!
Our small crew arrived at the scene in the late afternoon in February. We set up our tools and began assembling the skateboard ramp kits. The ramps were finished in just a few hours. We also brought our surfboards to paddle in the water after work- unfortunately that day, it was made for long-boarding as the waves were only 1-2 feet tall. Lame!

San Diego is a gorgeous place. Just like Orange County, you have easy access to the beach, mountains and of course, Mexico! We got the unique opportunity to build one of our bigger skate ramp kits for the manager of Lady Gaga. He wanted a 5' tall x 20' wide mini ramp. We discussed the best options and features for the ramp. In the end, he wanted a roll-in and 7' tall extension. We also used side-paneling to close up the back ends and sides of the ramps. Finally, the ramp used a third layer of Skatelite PRO.
We prepared most of the ramp at our warehouse in Orange County- pre cutting and pre drilling all the pieces. We arrived in San Diego with everything ready to be assembled. The installation still took several days.

Surf City, California, is such an amazing place. This is where we began OC RAMPS back in 1997. Only there can you truly surf, skate and snowboard in one day. A customer called us and inquired about getting a mini ramp halfpipe for their house. This particular client lives 1 block from the ocean- and her backyard is taken up by a pool/spa. The only other location to build the ramp would be either the garage or driveway. You can buy a halfpipe for your garage- but the garage mini is 2' tall. Its awesome in the sense that its a ramp inside of a garage. However, if you're looking for something taller and wider, the garage may not be ideal--That left us with the driveway. We built the ramp so that our customer can still park in her garage and walk by the other side to access the side yard and trash barrels. Overall, this ramp was made perfectly for their garage. The street our customer lives on is surf/skateboard central-- their neighbor has a mini ramp on their driveway too. All the other neighbors have portable ramps, like quarterpipes and grind boxes, rails, etc.

A production company that works with Panasonic reached out to us a few weeks ago about our ramp rental program. They were looking to rent a few skate ramps for a photo and video they were shooting for a new camera by Panasonic.
In a nutshell, this camera is supposed to be a small, portable hi-res camera. Not entirely similar, but same concept as the Go Pro.
