Freedom of Expression

There are numerous reasons why I love skateboading. It would be impossible for me to fit every single reason on just half a page. The biggest reason I love skating is because it's an individual sport that gives me the freedom of expressing myself; plus, I love the way I feel when I am skating. The rush of emotions that come with doing tricks are unexplainable. Having endless possibilities I can't possibly get tired of riding my board like I do with other sports and hobbies. It just feels right to me to open up my creativity and throw myself into something I not only enjoy but something I am also good at. Skateboarding takes a lot of devotion and drive. To me not landing a trick is a push. It makes me want to strive and do better. To succeed in every trick and manuvar I attempt means not giving up. My goal in skating is to be the best I can and nothing less. People like Rodney Mullen inspire me. I would love to be equally talented. I spend a lot of time on my flatland tricks because there aren't any skateboarding parks in our neighborhood and the closest ones are too far away to go to on a regular basis. I believe that if I had an OC skate ramp my skateboarding skills would improve and my horizons would broaden. I could take my flatland tricks to the ramps!
